Robin & Raven was born from a simple question we kept asking ourselves as new parents:

What’s really inside the products we use every day?

After welcoming our twin daughters, we became far more intentional about the ingredients we brought into our home. We removed heavily scented products, questioned artificial fragrances, and started searching for skincare that felt genuinely clean, nourishing, and trustworthy.

Like many people discovering tallow-based skincare, we loved the simplicity of beef tallow and olive oil — but we quickly realized most brands never explained the quality behind those ingredients.

We wanted to know more.

Where was the tallow sourced from?

Was it truly grass-fed and finished?

Was it cosmetic grade?

Did it have the strong “beefy” smell many balms carried?

Was the olive oil pure, or diluted with cheaper oils?

When we couldn’t find products that met the standards we were looking for, we decided to create our own.

At Robin & Raven, we use cosmetic-grade grass-fed & finished beef tallow sourced from responsibly raised USA cattle. Rich in nutrients and naturally compatible with the skin, our tallow is carefully refined to create a clean, smooth balm without the heavy scent commonly associated with traditional tallow products.

We pair it with organic, single-source unfiltered Sicilian olive oil selected for its purity, richness, and deeply conditioning qualities. Every ingredient is intentionally chosen because we believe skincare should feel as honest as it is effective.

As our family grew, we slowly reintroduced scent into our lives in a more thoughtful way through pure essential oils. Rather than overpowering artificial fragrances, we use delicate botanical blends to create soft, calming aromas that feel subtle, clean, and natural.

Every balm is formulated in small batches in Aliso Viejo, California and made with the same care and standards we wanted for our own family.

Our goal was never to create another trendy skincare product. We wanted to create something that felt timeless — a balm rooted in quality ingredients, thoughtful formulation, and trust.

Something simple.

Something we could confidently share with the people we love most.

Robin & Raven is named after our twin daughters’ middle names — a daily reminder of why we started and the standards we continue to hold ourselves to.
